You must have Adobe AIR runtime (which you can download from Adobe’s website for free) installed on your computer.

Collect and visualize news that is published on any blog with an rss feed

One of Pouch’s main functions is to act like a central container for news, articles and content that we usually read on the Internet.

With a simple and very user-friendly interface, Pouch reads, collects and organizes any web content with an rss feed automatically and dynamically.

By installing Pouch on your desktop, you will have instant and up-to-date access to the content that orbits around Adobe technologies, as well as to personal content that you can insert in the application.

Pouch will allow you to receive notifications each time a new post is added onto the list of web-sites linked to the application, without having to open a lot of web pages in your browser.

Insert your favorite blogs (as well as the ones that have already been pre-loaded)

Once you’ve installed and launched Pouch, the application will provide you with a series of official Adobe content that are loaded and downloaded automatically.
This is information regarding the world of Adobe (events, discounts and promotions) and its technology. You can also add your own personal content via an rss feed, as well as this set of news.

On the “My RSS” tab in Pouch, shown here, you will be able to insert the address of the rss feed of the website to insert it in Pouch. At this point you will be able to reed and store the content that will be downloaded by the application (MyPocket function).

System notifications for new posts

For all the rss feeds you add to Pouch, both the pre-loaded and the personal ones, a notification system will alert you when new content is loaded onto the websites you are monitoring.
This useful function will allow you to be updated constantly, even when the application is in the background, allowing you to skim through the headlines and decide which parts you want to read about further.

Playing videos in streaming mode

As well as being able to read and download text content, Pouch can play video content. Similarly to the “RSS” section, there is a “Video” section, which will provide you with an accurate selection of events that have been registered and pre-uploaded by Adobe Italia.

The videos can be added onto the “My Pocket” section so you can easily reach them in one of your favorite sections.

Furthermore, by clicking on the “My Video” tab, you will be able to select video files from your computer in FLV (Flash Video) format and play them.

Insertion and notification for appointments

Like a real diary, simple and easy to use, Pouch, among its other functions, even allows you to manage a list of appointments and memos (called TODOs).
An alert window will notify the user when the inserted appointment is overdue, without having to worry about remembering it on your own!
